The Father I Needed: My Christmas Story of Faith and Hope

Growing up, I was one of the most overlooked people in my school. I didn’t stand out much—no special attention, no accolades. Though I loved basketball and had many interests, the environment I was in often felt too big for me. The school I attended was filled with beautiful, talented students who seemed to effortlessly win the admiration of teachers and peers. I often felt unseen, unheard, and unloved, grappling with low self-esteem and questions about my worth. But amidst all of this, there was one person who never overlooked me— Jesus Christ . Whenever I entered a church, I would hear the same message: “You are a royal treasure. You are a chosen generation. You are set apart.” Those words from Scripture spoke life into me and planted a seed of hope in my heart. What was I set apart for? A purpose—one that was hidden in Christ Jesus. At the age of 14, I remember kneeling in prayer, feeling broken yet hopeful. My prayer to Jesus was simple: “Everyone in church says You are a heavenly...

Never Alone: Finding True Friendship in Jesus (Part 2)

2023 was one of the hardest years of my life—a season of heartbreak, challenges, and confusion. Yet as 2024 began, it came with a promise: the promise of healing, clarity, and a deeper walk with Christ. This year became a year of revelation and growth, and through it, Jesus taught me invaluable lessons about standing firm in my faith and the beauty of friendships rooted in Him. Taking a Stand for Christ One of the biggest lessons God revealed to me was the importance of taking a stand for Christ. In Revelation 3:16, God warns against being lukewarm: "So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." This was a wake-up call for me. I realized I needed to take a firm stand for Jesus and His truth, refusing to dilute my faith to fit in or entertain worldly values that contradict His Word. Taking a stand for Christ requires assertiveness. It means having a voice, setting boundaries, and not allowing others to pull you away from His truth....

Never Alone: Finding True Friendship in Jesus

2023 was one of the most difficult years of my life. I went through a lot of emotional ups and downs, faced challenges at work, and dealt with personal issues that left me feeling incredibly sad and alone. During those times, I thought spending time with friends might help lift my spirits and give me the motivation to keep going. I reached out to one friend, let’s call her Sushi. I asked if we could spend the weekend together because I was struggling and thought her company might help. But she told me she was too busy and couldn’t make time. I explained how hard things were for me, hoping she might understand, but she did not understand the gravity of my situation. Feeling discouraged, I reached out to another friend, Susan, but she also said she was too busy. Then I tried talking to Natalie, but she was going through her own struggles and didn’t have the capacity to support me. One by one, I realized that the people I considered friends weren’t there for me during one of the hardest t...

David and His Sling: The Power of Faith and Skill

The story of David and Goliath is one of the most well-known tales from the Bible, symbolizing the triumph of the underdog and the power of faith. David, a young shepherd, faced the giant Goliath with just a sling and a stone. While he had only one physical weapon, David’s true power came from the combination of his skill and his unshakable faith in God. It’s a powerful reminder that even a single talent, when used with purpose and faith, can lead to extraordinary outcomes. David’s strength wasn’t in his physical might or experience in battle; he wasn’t even a soldier. He had one skill—using a sling—that he had honed while protecting his sheep from predators. It may have seemed like a small, insignificant ability in comparison to Goliath’s armor and weapons. But David’s confidence came from his faith in God, who had been with him in every battle he’d faced, big or small. He believed that with God by his side, his one skill was enough. In many ways, David’s story parallels Jesus’ parabl...

Passing the DMV behind the wheel California test in my third attempt.

Image
I had failed my written test on my first attempt and I realized that I cant go for the test without studying the DMV handbook. Over the course of the next week, I studied the entire book and took many practice tests. I passed the written test on my second attempt and was preparing for the behind-the-wheel test. I practiced with New Prudential Driving and Lucys Traffic School and the instructor there was too strict, making me very anxious during driving. I practiced there for 4 hours and changed the school. The second school that I went to was IE driving school. The instructor there this time was way too lenient. He didn't correct me for my mistakes or teach me things in depth. He just finished his classes and hurried back home.  I decided to ask my church friends to help and they did a wonderful job teaching me to drive. I practiced over the weekends and understood all the rules that were to be followed while driving. I watched youtube videos of the driving routes for my center and...

How I travelled to Switzerland free of Cost!

Image
After my under graduation, I was looking for jobs and landed my first job at Netscribes Pvt Ltd., India. I learned quite a lot about Patent Research there and landed my second job at Mettler Toledo, India. We had an in-house Patent Research team there and it was a great organization to work with. Situated in the beautiful hills of Powai, Mettler Toledo had a great team and a great work culture. They sponsored my first International trip to Zurich, Switzerland.  I took the Swiss airlines and traveled 8 hours from Mumbai to Switzerland and after arriving at the airport, brought a swiss sim and tried to insert it in my phone. It didn't work and I panicked for half an hour and tried seeking help at a store. The man at the store tried to fix it and nothing worked and asked me to leave. I was almost in tears and the officers at the airport started looking at me suspiciously because I was wandering around aimlessly not knowing what to do. My dad had asked his friend to receive me at the a...

How to pass California CA DMV behind the wheel driving test Easy tips

As an international student, my whole experience with getting a simple driver's license was nothing short of a nightmare. Starting with the horrible idea of loaning my landlord's car for the test, where the examiner panicked because of my right turn and steered my wheel towards the curb, crashing it, to the  500 USD that I paid to get the car fixed taught me some valuable lessons on how to go about this whole situation. After loads of research and learning from my mistakes, I can share some amazing tips with you that can help you save a lot of money and time and help you to pass your behind-the-wheel driving test on your first attempt. 1.Do you need a driving school to learn driving? I spent almost 600 USD on driving school and it was of no good use to me. If you are above the age of 18, I would highly recommend that you learn driving from your family members or a friend who is good at driving, in your own car. At the end of the day the more you practice driving, the better you...
